BILL & JAMES
Bill and James - dining / coffee / events is a dining space located in the heart of Balgownie Village. Named after his two sons, Head Chef and Owner Aaron Anderson brings a hands on approach to all aspects of this family business. Operating across Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, Private Dining and Catering - as much as possible is made in house and by hand with a local emphasis to food, coffee and wine. Menus are tailored to reflect the ever changing daily deliveries and seasons.
EAT AT SANDY’S
Yonatan Miller and Emma Huber opened SANDYgoodWICH five years ago with the aim of producing as much as they could onsite, using local, sustainably and ethically produced ingredients. For 3 years SANDYgoodWICH held Communal Dinners which celebrated the cultural diversity of food histories and the varied produce available in the local region. Eat at Sandy’s is all about great food enjoyed with friends and family in a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere. Their guiding principles are: organic, ethical, sustainable … and delicious.
KNEADING RUBY
Kneading Ruby is a modern take on a pizzeria, featuring rustic dishes and traditional pizza made with fresh, locally sourced produce – all designed to be shared. Kneading Ruby were recently been voted in the top 10 of OpenTable’s ranking of the best eateries in NSW.
ROOKIE EATERY
Rookie Eatery offers diners contemporary Australian cuisine in a casual context. A produce-driven menu centres on a modern Australian food, as the kitchen serves an eclectic mix of local ingredients with multicultural influences. Rookie believe that ‘Australian cuisine’ is a multicultural phenomenon that exists nowhere else in the world and so they aim to provide a contemporary interpretation with the local ingredients on offer. The result is a diverse inspiration of eastern and western cultures brought together with fragrant and fresh flavours. An on-site herb garden provides the kitchen with a range of indigenous and introduced herb species, whilst a commitment to strong supplier relationships sees the South Coast’s best produce showcased.

ASPIRE provides event, venue and catering services for events both on and off campus. Be it a luncheon, product launch, gala dinner, cocktail event, conference or exhibition their versatile venue spaces and experienced team are on hand to ensure your next event project is successful. Aspire is a business of UOW Pulse, the social heartbeat of the University of Wollongong, managing the campus entertainment, food and retail, student engagement, sport, recreation and more!
